DUNCAN BRANCH CLOSURE
The past few years have brought many changes to the way we conduct business and interact with our membership. Digital initiatives have been at the forefront of changing business practices, and digital business is now the new standard. Even with significant changes in the way we operate, our first priority is always to provide excellent service to each of our members.
The Board of Directors has determined it is no longer financially responsible or in the best interest of the members of Vital FCU to continue operations at the Duncan branch. After extensive analysis and consideration, the Vital FCU Board of Directors has made the decision to close our Duncan branch effective July 18, 2022. This branch experienced a decline in member traffic even before the pandemic, but with the sudden push to digital banking, branch traffic has been significantly reduced.
We want to assure our members that Vital FCU is financially sound, and your money is secure with us. The decision to close the Duncan branch is an effort to provide a better overall experience for our members and be able to continue offering low rates and fees. You will still see all the same friendly faces when you come in as we will reallocate staff from the Duncan branch to our Spartanburg branch. Additionally, we plan to enhance our current digital products and offer additional products and services in the future.

Online/Mobile Banking – We have an updated online banking and mobile app that makes it easy to self-service many of your financial needs. Through our online channels you can check account balances, transfer funds between accounts, make loan and credit card payments, setup bill payments, mobile deposit checks, and more. We also offer the stand-alone CardNav app for personalized card controls from your phone.
Surcharge-Free ATMs – As a part of the Co-Op network, you have access to over 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide for cash withdrawals. We also offer several ATM locations throughout the hospital system here in Spartanburg. Visit our website for ATM locations. Your debit card also allows you to get cash back at your local grocery or retail store that offers cash back services.
Direct Deposit – You can enjoy the security and convenience of having your paycheck deposited directly to your accounts here at Vital FCU. You can save a trip to the branch and have your money available to you right away. One of our team members will be happy to assist you with getting your direct deposit information for your employer anytime.
Online Loan Applications – Easily apply for your loan online through our website. No need to make an appointment or come into the branch. Applying is quick and easy, and with our electronic signature process, you can close your loan right from home also.
